ABOUT NMTL’S ARCHIVE ADAPTATION PROJECT

The National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) launched NMTL’s Archive Select line of products in 2018 both to ‘bring literature into everyday life’ and to promote the use of literature in new and creative applications. Today, NMTL’s Archive Select is not only our brand but also a platform that encourages private businesses to develop related products and activities.

NMTL’s Archive Select embodies the alluringly enigmatic essence of the NMTL, with every spotlighted item a Taiwanese treasure of cultural and historical importance.

Archive Select is a platform supporting creative authors to adapt works into new products and marketing experiences. It is hoped that the spirit and style of Archive Select energizes the NMTL Archive and establishes new, vibrant connections with a diverse array of sectors. A regularly changing selection of Archive Select year-specific products produced by companies in various sectors is further anticipated to infuse Taiwan literature into everyday life and entertainment. Furthermore, products and curated experiences will help raise public awareness about spotlight items, plugging items from the NMTL Archive directly into contemporary social and commercial milieus.
